Connected Africa Summit 2025 Calls For Innovation Awards Entries

The organisers of the Connected Africa Summit have announced the official call for entries for the prestigious Connected ICT Innovation Awards, which will be presented during the upcoming Connected Africa Summit 2025.

Now in its 13th year, the Connected Africa Summit brings together key government, industry, academia, and innovation stakeholders to drive Africa’s digital transformation agenda. The Innovation Awards, first introduced in 2011, have recognised more than 110 groundbreaking ICT products and solutions across the continent.

The 2025 awards will spotlight technology-led innovations across four strategic categories:

AgriTech: Including precision farming & smart agriculture, agri-fintech solutions, and post-harvest and value addition technologies.

GreenTech: Featuring renewable energy, climate-smart solutions, and sustainable technologies.

Creative Economy: Showcasing cultural heritage, tourism tech, gaming, eSports, and animation.

AI and Cybersecurity for Business & Government: Highlighting AI solutions for fraud detection and risk assessment, threat detection and response systems, and secure digital payment and transaction monitoring tools.

To qualify, applicants must:

• Have a formally registered company
• Have developed a product or service that is complete and has been in active use for at least six months
• Offer a product or service to African end-users (direct delivery or through third-party partners)

A distinguished panel of continental experts will evaluate all submissions through a rigorous selection process. Finalists and winners will be honoured during a special awards ceremony at the Summit, receiving trophies and certificates recognising their achievements.

These awards are more than recognition – they provide innovators with visibility, networking opportunities, and potential investment connections. Past winners have gone on to scale their solutions across multiple markets following the exposure gained through the Connected Africa platform.
